LARGO, FL — The family of Linda A. Clark is saddened to announce her passing on March 10, 2021, in Largo, Florida at the age of 76. We are comforted knowing she is no longer in pain and back in our father’s arms.

She was born in Burlington, Vermont, on July 29, 1944 to Ross and Lillian (Marineau) Whipple and graduated from Sacred Heart School in Newport, VT, in 1962. She married the love of her life, Darrel R. Clark on June 13, 1964 and began a life committed to family and God. They lived in several locations before settling in Keene, NH from where they began raising their three children before moving to Lebanon, NH where they stayed until they retired to Largo, Florida in 2001.

Linda worked for several banks in the Upper Valley, but best known from Ledyard National Bank which she proudly was an integral part of starting up. Those that knew her best often said she ran the place single handedly. She and our father were very involved in the community and attended Sacred Heart Church.

She enjoyed visiting Maine, cleaning, reading romance novels, cleaning, walking 2-3 miles a day, cleaning and most of all spending time with her children/grandchildren/great grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishments call her mom/grammie/GG.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2013, parents and in-laws Arrie and Avis (Raymond) Clark. Linda is survived by her children and spouses Tamara and Jon Sterling, Tracey and David Landry, Cory and Sheri Clark; her grandchildren Briana and Jason Paronto, Justin and Stephanie Sterling, Arica Beach, Chelsea Sterling, and Seth Sterling, and step-grandchildren Jennifer Kelley, McKenna and Tyler Varao; great-grandchildren Cooper and Elise Paronto, Logan Sterling and Baby Bean due in May; siblings Val and Lee Whipple and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A burial will take place in Newport Center, VT this summer where she will be laid to rest near her husband and parents.

Donations in memory of Linda Clark can be made to Suncoast Hospice at suncoasthospicefoundation.org who gave such compassionate care to our parents during their final days as well as Linda’s father, father-in-law and mother-in-law.
