FAIRLEE — Voters at Town Meeting will be asked to approve a general fund budget of more than $1.2 million, a $114,311, or roughly 10%, increase over the current year’s spending plan.
Meanwhile, officials are proposing a highway budget of $278,300 — a $45,400, or nearly 20%, increase.
If all spending is approved, the municipal tax rate would increase by 2 cents per $100 of valuation, to just over 60 cents.
Elections of town officers are from the floor.
Fairlee Town Meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3 at Town Hall.
