LEBANON — Lebanon public safety officials will conduct “active shooter training” at City Hall for two days this week, drawing a large police presence to the North Park Street building.
Police officers “will be moving inside the building with simulated weapons and protective headgear,” with little activity expected outside, Lebanon police said in a news release on Monday.
The training is expected to take place from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday, and is being held in conjunction with Lebanon police and the Lebanon Fire Department, the release said.
No impact on traffic or local businesses is anticipated, and members of the public are asked not to interfere with the training. City Hall is undergoing renovations, and most municipal functions have moved to temporary space nearby.
