A man accused of setting fires in Pittsfield, N.H., in 2016 and 2017 was recently arrested in connection with an arson in Concord in 2018.
Christopher Vincent, 43, is being held without bail on two counts of arson and one count of cruelty to animals, all felony-level charges. He is accused of setting a fire on April 1, 2018, on River Road in Concord.
Deputy Concord Fire Chief Sean Brown said firefighters responded at about 4:12 a.m. to a reported garage fire, but that they arrived on scene to find a chicken coop fully engulfed in flames. The fire to the coop was quickly extinguished; however, birds did die in the blaze.
Following a lengthy investigation, Vincent was taken into custody this week.
Vincent was arraigned on the new charges Thursday in Merrimack County Superior Court, where he faces an additional three counts of arson as a result of fires that authorities allege he set in Pittsfield.
Prosecutors say Vincent set fire to town-owned property at 42 Chestnut St., by igniting newspapers in the windows of the building Jan. 1, 2016.
He is also accused of starting a fire by igniting debris next to a barn in Pittsfield on May 20, 2017, according to indictments.
The New Hampshire Fire Marshalโs Office is asking anyone with additional information about the Concord fire to contact the Bureau of Investigations at 223-4289.
