WOODSTOCK โ Mountain Views School District Superintendent Sherry Sousa has told the district’s board that she plans to retire at the end of the next school year.
Sousa, who has served in the Woodstock-based district for 33 years, has been superintendent since July 2020.

“I wanted to give the board a significant runway for recruiting my successor, so I’ve decided to let everyone know that I’ll be stepping down at the end of my contract,” Sousa said in a written statement.
Most recently, Sousa has shepherded the district through approval of a $112 million bond issue for a new middle and high school.
