Beverly lived and worked in the Upper Valley all of her life in restaurants, kitchens, and summercamps. She cooked for years at The MountainSchool in Vershire and
also at the Vershire Elementary School. She was a caregiver to Sally Drew up until Sally’s passing. She was involved in town organization PTA school board, and the Vershire Day celebration . Some of her favorite things in life were gardening and feeding and watching the birds. She loved to travel, which took her to Nashville, TN a few times, Florida a few times, the Carolinas, and to Seattle, WA, and a trip to Jacksonville, FL on a train with her 92 year old mother; they slept on the train and toasted the trip with champagne. She loved listening to country music. Willie Nelson was at the top of her list and there also was the song Purple Rain by Prince.
She loved to just go for a ride on a back road that she didn’t know just to see where she would come out. Listening to the whip-poor-wills, picking fiddleheads, and just spending time visiting with her many long time friends.
She loved to bake and made the best apple pie EVER!!!!!
She lived her life full of spirit. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is gone but there are memories and stories to be told and passed down to the grandchildren so they will all know
what a special lady she was.
Safe to say Beverly is DANCING in the Purple Rain now!!!!!
There will be a celebration of her life on May 18th at 2 pm at the Vershire Town Center building.
