LEBANON, NH — Wesley James Miller Sr., born on June 23rd, 1945, passed on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2pm. He left this world calmly and with his wife of 53 years holding his hand and letting him know how much he was loved.

He is mourned by his wife Patricia Davis Miller; his sons Wesley J Miller, Jr. (Lisa Rhodes, Ellie and Lily Meeks) and Rodney W. Miller (Karen, Tyler, and Tabatha Miller); his sisters Elizabeth (Betty) deMelo of Bedford, NH; Diana Guilbert of Manchester, NH (Richard Guilbert); Linda Miller of Canaan, NH; and Donna Martin of Graniteville, VT; his aunts Bertha Shepard of Canaan, NH and Gladys Herbut of Candia, NH; and his uncle Warren Miller of Apache Junction, Arizona.

Lifelong resident of Lebanon, NH until 2015. Passed away in Sanford, NC where he had lived for 3.5 years. Attended schools in Enfield, left home at 15 to live with his Uncle Warren in Manchester, NH. He worked at JM Fields until he went into the Air Force at 18 years old.

Wesley was stationed at Pope Air Force Base where he met the love of his life (Patricia Davis Miller of Sanford, NC). Wesley Sr. served in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and worked for the same company for 46 years as a forklift operator, refrigeration maintenance, and finally as a general maintenance man for a large grocery store chain in NH, VT, and NY.

Wesley Sr. was a volunteer for many organizations and dedicated more than 15 years of his life to being a Cub Scout Master and Webelos Leader for the youth of mid-western NH. His humor, dedication, loyalty, and unfaltering ability to care for others will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held for Wesley on May 5, 2019 at the Abundant Life Church of God on Route 4 in Lebanon, NH. Service will start at 3:00 PM with Military Honors. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Mary H. Detsch; Wesley’s pastor and close personal friend in Lebanon, NH.
