Gardner Fulton & Waugh said on Thursday it will merge into Portland, Maine-based Drummond Woodsum, which also has offices in Manchester and Portsmouth, N.H.
“Our firm has been steadily growing over the past 15 years and has become a leading law firm focused on representing municipalities and, more recently, school districts in New Hampshire. All of us at Gardner Fulton & Waugh are enthusiastic about this upcoming merger and becoming part of one combined team of attorneys with Drummond Woodsum,” Adele Fulton, managing partner of the Lebanon firm, said in a news release.
“We both have a shared focus on serving the needs of our municipal and school law clients and the strengths of both firms will be joined into one team, in one firm, to enhance benefits available to our mutual clients.”
Gardner Fulton & Waugh has about 60 clients, including the cities of Lebanon and Claremont and the towns of Newport, Charlestown, Bristol and Canaan. It also represents the Rivendell Interstate School District and Lyme School District.
Fulton and her colleagues in Lebanon — Shawn Tanguay, Matt Decker, Christine Fillmore, Jennifer Stralka, Jane Taylor, Cathryn “Cappy” Nunlist and Bernie Waugh — will join Drummond Woodsum, and the combined firm will continue to operate offices in all three New Hampshire cities under the Drummond Woodsum name.
Drummond Woodsum, which was founded in 1965, has more than 80 professionals and represents municipalities and school districts in Maine and New Hampshire.
