Boston — Kyrie Irving had 17 points and seven assists as the Boston Celtics, back home from a dreadful road trip, routed the Chicago Bulls, 111-82, on Wednesday night.

Jaylen Brown scored 18 points and Jayson Tatum added 14 for the Celtics, who lost the final two games on a 1-4 swing that ended out west. Gordon Hayward scored 11 and Al Horford had 10 points and eight rebounds as all five Boston starters reached double figures.

The Celtics capitalized on 22 turnovers by the Bulls, who dropped their second straight and third in four games.

Shaquille Harrison led Chicago with 16 points. Jabari Parker scored 14, all in the first quarter. Zach LaVine finished with 10 points and nine assists, and Wendell Carter Jr. had 11 points and seven rebounds.

After a sluggish first period, the Celtics dominated the second quarter, holding Chicago to 11 points on five field goals. Boston continued to pull away in the second half.

The Celtics held a 22-point lead entering the fourth quarter and emptied their bench. The reserves stretched the advantage to 33 before it was over.

Terry Rozier had 12 points for Boston, and Aaron Baynes finished with nine points and 11 rebounds.

After shooting 9-for-23 in the first quarter, the Celtics outscored Chicago, 32-11, in the second and forced the Bulls into seven turnovers.

Rozier’s free throw after a technical foul on LaVine broke a 28-all tie and started Boston on a 12-0 run. The Celtics shut out the Bulls for 5:14 while pulling ahead 42-30, then closed the period on a 9-2 spurt for a 51-35 halftime lead.

Baynes opened the fourth quarter for Boston with a 3-pointer and added a three-point play with 9:46 remaining to extend the margin to 87-64.

Hayward followed with a jumper, then converted another three-point play as the Celtics opened a 92-64 bulge with 9:32 left.

Pistons 106, Raptors 104

Toronto — Reggie Bullock made the winning shot as time expired and Detroit rallied from a 19-point deficit to beat Toronto, giving coach Dwane Casey a victory over his former team.

Blake Griffin had 30 points and 12 rebounds, Reggie Jackson and Langston Galloway each scored 13 points and Stanley Johnson had 12 for the Pistons. They had lost six of eight.

Kawhi Leonard scored 26 points and Pascal Siakam and Greg Monroe each had 17 for the Raptors. They have lost consecutive home games after a 7-0 start. Toronto (12-3) also failed to match the best start in franchise history. The Raptors went 13-2 to begin the 2014-15 season.

Toronto had won six straight over the Pistons, and nine of the previous 11 meetings.

Grizzlies 116, Bucks 113

Milwaukee — Marc Gasol scored 29 points, Mike Conley added 26 and Memphis used a late 15-2 run to hand Milwaukee its first home loss of the season.

After losing a 15-point lead in the third quarter, Memphis surged ahead again late and held on with key baskets from Conley. With the shot clock winding down, Conley hit a turnaround jumper in the middle of the lane for a 113-109 lead with 26 seconds left.

Conley also hit two foul shots with 9.9 seconds left for a four-point lead, though Shelvin Mack went 1 of 2 at the line with 2.1 seconds left to give the Bucks one last chance trailing by three.

The Bucks inbounded the ball to their best 3-point shooter, Khris Middleton, but he missed near the top of the arc with two defenders in his face as time expired. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 31 points, and Middleton added 25 for the Bucks.

Magic 111, Sixers 106

Orlando, Fla. — Jimmy Butler had 14 points in his Philadelphia debut, but the 76ers collapsed late and lost to Orlando after Terrence Ross hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 8.7 seconds.

Butler played 33 minutes and shot 6 for 12 from the field. The four-time All-Star was acquired on Monday from Minnesota in a five-player trade.

Orlando scored 21 straight points in the fourth quarter, then held the 76ers without a field goal over the final 3½ minutes. Nikola Vucevic had 30 points, making two free throws with 5.8 seconds left.

Joel Embiid finished with a triple-double of 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for the 76ers. J.J. Redick led Philadelphia with 22 points but committed two turnovers in the final 31 seconds.

Thunder 128, Knicks 103

Oklahoma City — Paul George scored a season-high 35 points to help Oklahoma City rout New York.

Steven Adams had 19 points and seven rebounds, and Dennis Schroder added 15 points and 12 assists for the Thunder. They have won nine of 10 since an 0-4 start, and improved to 4-1 since point guard Russell Westbrook was sidelined with a sprained left ankle.

Tim Hardaway, Jr. scored 20 points, and Enes Kanter added 19 for the Knicks.

Wizards 119, Cavaliers 95

Washington — Bradley Beal scored 20 points, Otto Porter added 15 and Washington beat undermanned Cleveland for its third straight victory.

Rookie Collin Sexton had a career-high 24 points for Cleveland. Playing the second of back-to-backs after topping Charlotte on Tuesday night, the Cavaliers are an NBA-worst 2-12.

In addition to forward Kevin Love (foot surgery), the Cavaliers were without starting point guard George Hill (hamstring), forward Sam Dekker (ankle) and forward Kyle Korver (sore right foot).

Heat 120, Nets 107

New York — Tyler Johnson scored a season-high 24 points, Goran Dragic had 21 and Miami beat Brooklyn to snap a three-game losing streak.

Josh Richardson added 15 points and Hassan Whiteside had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat. They never trailed and led by as much as 23.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 18 points for the Nets in their first game since losing leading scorer Caris LeVert to a dislocated right foot.

Timberwolves 107, Pelicans 100

Minneapolis — Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and 16 rebounds, Andrew Wiggins scored 23 and Minnesota improved to 2-0 since trading Jimmy Butler with a victory over New Orleans.

Jeff Teague added 14 points and 14 assists for the Timberwolves.

E’Twaun Moore scored a season-high 31 and Anthony Davis had 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Pelicans, who had won three straight.

Minnesota led 52-31 early in the second quarter but the Pelicans chipped away, cutting their deficit to 13 at halftime and just four going into the fourth quarter.

The Timberwolves scored the first seven points of the period to stretch their lead to 92-81, but New Orleans responded with a 15-2 run to take its first lead of the game on a 12-foot jumper by Jrue Holiday.

Wiggins’ 3-pointer put the Wolves back on top and Towns followed with a three-point play to give Minnesota some breathing room.

Then with 2 minutes to go, Towns, playing with five fouls, blocked Davis’ layup attempt and fed Wiggins on the other end for a thunderous dunk. Wiggins was fouled as well, and his free throw put Minnesota up 105-98.

The game was Minnesota’s first with forwards Robert Covington and Dario Saric. They were acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers along with injured guard Jerryd Bayless in exchange for the disgruntled Butler.

The trade was completed Monday, meaning Covington and Saric did not join their new teammates in time for the Timberwolves’ 120-113 victory over Brooklyn that night.

Covington started Wednesday, scoring 13 points and grabbing seven rebounds. He drained a pair of long, catch-and-shoot 3s in the third quarter as the Timberwolves were trying to hold off a Pelicans comeback.

Saric came off the bench to contribute nine points and three boards in 20 minutes.

Towns had 15 points and nine rebounds in the first quarter as Minnesota raced out to a 38-28 lead, shooting 55.6 percent from the field and hitting 6 of 11 3-pointers in the process.

Pelicans: C Nikola Mirotic returned after missing two games with a right ankle sprain. He had 16 points and 10 boards. . Head coach Alvin Gentry said PG Elfrid Payton is close to returning from his own right ankle sprain, but he sat out his ninth straight game.

Timberwolves: The win was Minnesota’s fifth straight against New Orleans. . G Derrick Rose (left knee soreness) did not dress after playing 39 minutes in the win over Brooklyn on Monday. Rose is averaging 19.2 points and 4.8 assists per game this season. . Teague played for the second time in three days after missing six games with a bruised left knee.
