Hathorn shot an 8-over-par 79 to finish behind only Rutland’s Logan Broyles, who dominated the field with a 3-under 68. Logan Raymond (105), Jared Vanderpot (106) and Justin Jasmin (106) completed Hartford’s scoring on a course considered among the most challenging in Vermont.

“They shot 211 on the front nine and (184) on the back. They learned. If it had been the other way around, I would have been concerned. But most of them were 5-10 shots better on the back nine.”
