Granite United Way Promotes Upper Valley Leaders

West Lebanon — The Granite United Way has announced the promotion of two Upper Valley leaders: Katie Lynn Kobe Kent, of Quechee, is now the area director for the Upper Valley, and Elizabeth Craib, of Hartland, is the director of community impact.

Patrick Tufts, president and CEO of Granite United Way, said in a news release that Kent and Craib both have skill sets that will benefit the Upper Valley community.

“There has been great momentum in this area and I look forward to working with them in this new capacity,” he said.

Prior to her promotion, Kent served as director of resource development, leading the fundraising efforts in the Upper Valley since 2013. Kent, an Upper Valley native, has an extensive background in sales and public relations. As area director she will work closely with the rest of the community impact team to engage community partners. Kent received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Vermont and was a member of the Leadership Upper Valley 2017 class.

Craib was previously the Working Bridges Coordinator at Granite United Way. Prior to joining Granite United Way in November of 2017, she served as director at the Woodstock Job Bank. She brings experience as a nonprofit professional and an ability to collaborate with community partners to address complex issues to her new role. Craib received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont.

“I am excited to see a fresh approach to staffing the Upper Valley United Way team,” Stacey Chiocchio, community citizenship manager at Hypertherm, said in a news release. “Both Katie and Elizabeth bring great energy and enthusiasm to the organization, and by teaming up they will continue to strengthen our community.”
