Red Logan Dental Clinic Appoints Dental Mentor

White River Junction — The Good Neighbor Health and Red Logan Dental Clinic board and staff have announced the hiring of Dr. Craig Cohen, a longtime Upper Valley practitioner, as the “Dental Mentor” at the medical nonprofit organization.

Cohen will closely supervise dental students who do procedures at the clinic, helping them learn new skills and best practices.

Cohen said he feels the Red Logan Dental Clinic is “an extremely important Upper Valley institution providing dental care to a swath of our population that is neither eligible for state assistance nor is able to afford dental care.”

He added that it has been very gratifying to help patients while “enjoying teaching third and fourth year dental students and giving them guidance in (his) field of expertise.”

Cohen, an oral surgeon, has been practicing in the Upper Valley for 30 years at offices in Hanover, Lebanon, and New London. He is a graduate of Cornell and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and past president of medical staff at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital.  He is also past president of the New Hampshire Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and has been a longtime volunteer with The Good Neighbor Health and Red Logan Dental Clinic.
