Claremont Mayor Will Be Honorary Chair for Born to Run 5k

Claremont — Claremont Mayor Charlene Lovett will be the honorary chair for the 9th Annual Born to Run 5K race, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, TLC Family Resource Center announced.

The Born to Run 5K race, which takes place in Cornish, helps raise awareness for child abuse prevention as well as provide financial support for TLC programs, the organization’s Executive Director Maggie Monroe-Cassel said in a news release.

“This is our signature fundraising event for the year. The money raised goes directly towards the wide range of programs that help support and strengthen all families, children, and youth in our community,” she said. “The race is also an opportunity for us to interact with the community in a different way.”
