South Royalton — An Amtrak train struck a Jeep on a railroad crossing on North Windsor Street in South Royalton at 7:14 this evening, Vermont State Police Sgt. Daniel Hall told the Valley News.

There were no injuries, but the Jeep was totaled.

The operator of the Jeep was trying to pull another car out of the snow at the time of the crash and was unable to get the Jeep off of the tracks before the train hit, Hall said.
