If one were not persuaded that Trump is a racist by his reluctance to comply with fair housing laws, his campaign rhetoric and his failure to condemn the hate-filled, white-supremacist rally that took place in Charlottesville, Va., then surely his recent outrageous and vulgar reference to Haiti and Africa should erase any remaining doubts.
Add this to his constant lies, inane tweets, general ignorance, cluelessness about all aspects of the office, admitted history of multiple sexual assaults, poor work ethic and casual references to nuclear warfare, and the sum irrefutably establishes that Trump is unfit to serve as president.
Practically each day brings news of another Trump atrocity. As our president, he is a global embarrassment. Each day that this loathsome man is in office, aided by the cowardly enablers in his administration and Congress, is another day our nation spends hurtling full speed toward serious and potentially irreparable harm.
What to do?
First, we must constantly challenge every hateful, spiteful, stupid and ridiculous word and lie that gushes from the manโs mouth or that is uttered by his aides. (I realize that this is asking a lot given the sheer volume and frequency of the nonsense emanating from the White House on a daily basis, but it must be done.)
Second, come this November, we should send a powerful message of rejection to Trump by wresting control of Congress from the hands of the spineless Republicans, who patently prefer party and politics over country.
Third, if Trump has the audacity to dare seek re-election in 2020, we must turn out in numbers the likes of which this country has never seen to make sure that the harm inflicted by this fool is limited to one term.
If we fail to do so, this once great nation faces a very bleak future.

Donald Trump has debased the presidency with such regularity that each outrageous slur or lie remains in the public consciousness for only a short time before it is replaced by the next one.
Our elected officials who support him further damage our country by allowing him to remain in office. There have been several presidents in my lifetime with whom I strongly disagreed on many issues, but I never questioned their basic human decency.
No Republican policy gains or judicial appointments are worth the daily damage inflicted by this ignorant, immoral man, and our senators and representatives should be holding him accountable. Where is their patriotism?

It has been common knowledge for years that women contestants in the Miss America Pageant flocked to the Trump camp in hopes of a lucrative career in acting or modeling. It is also common knowledge that he bedded many of these women.
Trump is a sexual predator and we all are aware of that. He is wealthy, and in this society he can get away with it because we turn a blind eye or accept his actions with a wink.
With Trumpโs wealth he bought his way into the presidency, and that should give us all great concern. He is an ignorant man, and had it not been for wealth passed down from his father, he would be a fat bald guy driving a cab in Brooklyn

Jeff Lehmann is correct (โRacist Label Is Absurd,โ Jan.ย 12). Everyone who voted for Donald Trump should not be called a racist. But now that the whole world knows that Donald Trump is a racist, what should we call those who continue to support him?

For the first time Iโll comment on Donald Trump. His vulgar remarks concerning citizens of other countries reveal something: He has no class.

Well, it appears George Carlin was wrong after all. You can say s— on TV!
I wonder if our distinguished president is hard at work getting the other six on TV as well.
