Kangas led the Hanover boys with wins in the 100-yard freestyle in 55.93 seconds, the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.00 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:14:03. Erik Hansen added a pair of wins for the Marauders, taking the top spot in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. Christopher Rieseberg added a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Aidan Umezis led the Lebanon swimmers with a first place finish in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly. The Lebanon boys added a victory in the team 200-yard freestyle relay. The Hanover boys won both the 400-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard medley relay.
Margaret Wenger’s three wins for the Marauder girls included a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (26.24), the 200-yard freestyle (2:00:39) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.91). Teammate Jocelyn Hazen won both the 100-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. Grace Wenger added a victory in the 200-yard individual medley. The Hanover girls swept all three relays (200 and 400 yard freestyle and 200 yard medley).
Elyse Scott was second in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard breaststroke for Stevens.

Alex Normandin had 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals as the game’s leading scorer. Andrew Normandin had nine rebounds, nine steals and was 11-for-16 from the free throw line on his way 20 points. Kolbe Bocko added 11 rebounds for the Knights.
Mount Royal’s big edge came from the free throw line where they outscored the hosts 14-7. The Knights (1-0) visit Nute on Tuesday.

“The guys played excellent team defense and we got off to a fast starts,” Newport coach Greg Pickering said.
“We played with a lot of intensity. Everybody who played contributed. There was a lot of energy in the building; the crowd was awesome and I’m glad we gave them something to cheer about.”
J.T. Blaine added 15 points and Cody Turgeon had 12 for the Tigers (1-0), who play at Windsor on Tuesday.

“Defense was key. We forced a lot of turnovers and really stopped them from getting second chances,” Sunapee coach Timothy Puchtler said.
Sunapee trailed, 30-26, through three quarters before scoring 17 in the final frame. Cade Robinson had 13 points and Zack Belisle had 11 to lead the Lakers. Sean Shisko added nine points.
Sunapee goes for two in a row when it hosts Hinsdale on Tuesday.

Olsen had 18 free throw attempts in the second half alone and finished with 33 points. Cooper Davidson added 26 points and Adam Cataldo had 16 points. Woodsville took the lead for good in the third quarter, outscoring Epping 22-12 in the frame to lead by 11 into the fourth.
The Engineers (1-0) visit Lisbon on Monday.

Whitchester shot just 8-for-32 from the charity stripe. Colby Washburn led the hosts with 15 points. Eddie Bray had 14 points. The Mountaineers trailed, 17-13, at halftime and tied it up with a strong third quarter to knot the score at 27-27.

The Knights took control in the second quarter, outscoring the hosts 16-8 to lead, 25-16, at halftime. Mount Royal (1-0) visits Nute on Tuesday.

Sydney Miller had three 3-pointers on her way to 16 points for Stevens. The Cardinals led, 27-12, at halftime.
Stevens will now have a break and return to action when it hosts Monadnock on Dec. 19.

Woodsville trailed, 32-26, heading into the fourth quarter. Coach Russ Wilcox praised the team’s defensive effort to spark the comeback, led by a stifling performance from Molly Clough. With the score tight in the final minute, freshman Emily Prest made a layup and senior Lily Kinder drained a pair of free throws to help the Engineers pull ahead.
Prest, Olivia Sarkis and Morgan Wagstaff each had seven points for Woodsville. Kinder and Clough each finished with six. The Engineers visit Lisbon on Monday.

“It was a close game until the end,” Mascoma coach Walter Hammond said. “I thought our defensive effort was excellent tonight. We’re getting there.”
Michaela Dowd led the Royals with 12 points. Liz Pelton added 10 and Kayla Hammond had seven to go along with 12 rebounds. The Royals host Conant on Tuesday.

Sunapee outscored Portsmouth Christian, 13-2, in the third quarter to take a lead into the fourth. The Lakers then had to hold off the visitors in the final minute to get the win. Kayleigh Durkee had two key steals and Cari Pierce made a pair of free throws in the closing moments.
“They played really hard, played tough defense and rebounded really well,” first-year Sunapee coach Stephanie Larpenter said.
Durkee led the Lakers with 12 points. Elizabeth Bennett added six points. Sunapee visits Hinsdale on Tuesday.

Johnson hit 4 of 6 from 3-point range and added five rebounds and three assists for the Big Green (3-4). Chris Knight had 13 points and Brendan Barry chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Aaron Calixte and Vernon Lowndes Jr. scored 13 apiece to pace the Black Bears (2-8). Lowndes added five rebounds and Andrew Fleming scored 10.
Johnson buried a 3-pointer with 1 second left in the first half and Dartmouth pulled away from a 25-all tie to lead 32-27 at intermission.
Aaryn Rai and Barry opened the second half with 3-pointers and the Big Green quickly stretched its lead to 38-27. But Maine battled back to knot the score at 50 on Fleming’s 3-point play and Dennis Ashley’s 3-pointer midway through the second half. Lowndes’ layup with 2:11 remaining in the game pulled the Black Bears even at 63, but Johnson scored seven and Knight hit 3 of 4 free throws to preserve the victory.
Dartmouth shot 52 percent (26 of 50) from the floor and 47.6 percent (10 of 21) from long range. Maine made 25 of 54 shots (46.3 percent), but just 30 percent (6 of 20) from beyond the arc.
