Hanover High School graduates Sarah Lightbody and Sadhya Garg and Sharon Academy graduate Taite Clark recently received National Merit Scholarships of between $500 and $2,000 from the colleges they will attend in the fall.
Lightbody will pursue fashion merchandising at Scripps College in Claremont, Calif., and Garg will study journalism at Tufts University in Medford, Mass. Meanwhile, Clark will major in engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York.
Lightbody and Garg are among five New Hampshire residents and Clark is one of two Vermonters who emerged from among more than 1.5 million high school juniors nationwide who took the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors in the fall of 2015.

Colby-Sawyer College students from the Upper Valley recently completed their internship requirements with work at Congressional offices and other public-service and professional sites.
