Sally was raised in Dewey’s Mills, Vt. She graduated from Hartford High School and the University of Vermont with a degree in Education. She lived for a year in France and became fluent in French.
She was married in 1968, for 23 years to David Briggs, and raised three sons in Vermont, Minnesota and then in Vermont again.
She was a French teacher in both states as well as an entrepreneur starting both a temporary services agency, and an education support service center. In addition she engaged in community and church activities and also ran successful fund raising campaigns for Easter Seals and the American Cancer Society. She was a cancer survivor.
Predeceased by her son, Samuel Briggs and brothers, Bob and David Marcotte. Survived by her children, Benjamin (Jennifer Stone) Briggs, Ethan (Nancy) Briggs; grandchildren, Ryan, Molly, Robert, Hailey and Maxton Briggs.
