WHITE RIVER JUNCTION โ€” The Veterans Health Administration and Veterans Benefits Administration will host an open house for veterans and their families to learn about what benefits they are eligible for Saturday at the White River Junction VA Medical Center.

The event is scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 a.m. in the parking lot at 163 Veterans Drive in White River Junction, according to a news release from the facility, which is operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Staff from both organizations will be available to meet with veterans one-on-one to go over what benefits they can apply for. Among the topics covered will be mental health resources, income-based benefits for wartime veterans and their survivors, education benefits and housing assistance.

In addition to learning about services offered at the VA, people can also learn about filing disability claims.
