Claremont, N.H. —
She was born April 17, 1918, in Claremont, the daughter of Hadley and Georgiana (Archambault) Moore. Bernadette graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont. She married Richard E. Davidson on Dec. 27, 1941, also in Claremont. Together, they made their home in Windsor, where she lived for over 50 years. In addition to raising their four children Bernadette helped run her husband’s business “Dick’s Lanes”, the bowling alley in Windsor for many years. After Mr. Davidson’s death in 1984, she moved back to Claremont where she has resided since.
Bernadette was a longtime communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor. She enjoyed spending time with her family at Otter Pond in George’s Mills, N.H.
She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Richard, one son Thomas R. Davidson, one brother, George Moore and three sisters, Lena Chase, Yvonne Kaye and Rita Moore all formerly of Claremont.
Survivors include her children, Richard E. Davidson and his wife, Marcia of Windsor, J. Davidson Geffken and her husband, Richard of Unity, N.H., Donna A. Davidson of Claremont; a daughter-in-law, Lona Davidson of Windsor; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Herbert Chase of Claremont.
A graveside service will be held in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor in the spring.
