He is survived by his wife, Dianne; daughter, Samantha (Kyle) Weeks; and granddaughter, Jayden Braley; parents, Chester (Susan) Braley Sr. and Linda (Clifton) Kelley; brothers, Chet (Judy) Braley, Richard (Alicia) Thompson, and Wayne (Laurie) Braley; sister, Tamara (Shawn) Mussen; many nieces and nephews; and an abundance of caring close friends.
Roy was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed raising backyard chickens and maple sugaring. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Epping, N.H., and was devoted to his church family which lovingly supported him during his illness. In his last years, Roy was involved with a number of ministries including Knights of Columbus, visitations to Rockingham County Nursing Home and prison ministries. Roy will be remembered for his kindness to others, caring for family and friends, and his love for Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish, 200 Pleasant St., Epping.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Epping in the spring.
