An old farmhouse along Route 10 across from Post Pond in Lyme was damaged by a fire today.

No one was injured in the fire, but authorities closed Route 10 to pump water from the pond. The house at the corner of Pinnacle Road dates to 1790, the owners said.

Route 10 was reopened to one lane of traffic by 2:50 p.m., according to the Hanover dispatch Facebook page.

Separately, Route 118 in Canaan was closed following a two-vehicle accident around lunchtime.

At least five people were injured in the crash near the Department of Transportation highway shed.

That road was reopened about 3 p.m.
