West Lebanon
The Strikers played Seacoast to a 3-3 draw on Saturday on two Tanner Besette goals and a Simon Amero penalty kick. Luke Ives assisted on both of Besette’s tallies. Daniel Jaccaci and Spencer May led the defense, and goalie Ty Nolon made two superb saves to keep the match level.
LSC rallied from a 1-0 deficit on Sunday for a 3-1 defeat of its Maine foe. Amero tied the match, Besette put the Strikers ahead to stay and Griffin Gamache nodded home a Connor Hamlin corner kick for the clincher. Garrett Stever, Oscar Miller and Elliott Jones also had strong matches in offensive roles.
West Lebanon
First-half goals from Aidan Smith and Cabot McLaren set the tone for a 2-1 defeat of NEFC Metro Boston United. NEFC cut into a two-goal deficit with 10 minutes left, but defenders Cayden Van Dolah and Angus Frew marshalled the back line to keep the Sonic in front.
LSC doubled its pleasure with a 4-0 blanking of Western United Pioneers on the combined scoring efforts of McLaren, Ian Press and Zach Tracy. Beckett Sobel, Ryder Hayes, Zach Miles and Jack Stadheim all contributed to the victory.
West Lebanon
The Comets created many scoring chances in their opening game with Hillsboro, but the opposition came out on top with a 7-4 victory. LSC also dropped a narrow 5-4 decision to Windham.
Meriden
The Shooters kept Seacoast on its heels on a slick pitch, with Tom Mosdal, Becket McCurdy, Liam Rorke and Zane Schiffman hoarding possession. Will Drebitko made the work count with a 20-yard blast midway through the first half for a 1-0 LSC lead.
Cameron Forbush and Alex Smail tripled the lead before Seacoast drew a goal back late. Joey Blackburn joined Smail in the net, and McCurdy saved a shot off the goal line to keep the visitors from getting any closer.
Epping, n.h.
Maine jumped in front first, but Mitchell Aspinwall tied the match by converting a Benjamin Seiler cross. Tyler St. Martin struck twice in the second half as the Storm pulled away.
Dylan Kotlowitz and Tucker Monson combined to anchor the defense with Gabriel Jacobs and goalkeeper Max Ritter.
Acton, Mass.
Charlie Adams put LSC in front in the 20th minute on a strong individual effort. CFC scored twice in the second half to take its only lead. Doucette secured the Surge’s half of the points with his run and cross that Blackburn headed home for the draw.
West Lebanon
SFC scored midway through the first half, but Purvis equalized from the spot after the Cosmos drew a hand ball in the SFC penalty area. SFC again grabbed the lead after halftime only to have the Cosmos tie the match again.
Dillon Bradley, John Moorhead, Patrick Mason and Nicolas Mayo-Pushee excelled in the midfield for LSC, while goalkeeper Hans Williams had several key saves to keep the match level.
Lebanon
The best-ball scramble event will cover up to 16 teams of five players. The cost to participate is $125 per person, with an 11 a.m. check-in and noon start. The tourney benefits the scholarship fund named in memory of Broughton, the founder of Post 22’s senior and junior baseball programs.

Participants are welcome to form their own five-player teams, or individuals can have organizers assign them to a squad. The cost to play is $100 and features the 18-hole tourney along with other prizes and auction items.

Tournament pickleball player Dan Gal will be on hand to put on a demonstration of the sport, which involves elements of tennis and paddle tennis.
The clinic will be staged on Quechee’s two new courts dedicated to pickleball.

White River Junction
Hartford is a United States Tennis Association-sponsored squad that has been together for 14 years and plays a nine-match schedule with other Upper Valley teams during the summer campaign.
The team encompasses a variety of skill levels and welcomes newcomers.

South Pomfret
The event will offer multiple options for all ages and abilities. The day begins at 9 a.m. with a 45-mile bike ride through Pomfret, Barnard, Bethel, Sharon, Hartford and Woodstock, along with a biathlon consisting of a 4.5-mile run around, up and over the Suicide Six summit and a 17-mile bike ride.
Those choosing only the 4.5-mile run or 17-mile ride will go at 10 a.m., and a one-mile run up Su Six’s Easy Mile kicks off at 11 a.m.
Everything returns to the ski area, where Zack’s Place personnel will provide a lunch featuring food from local sources.
The costs to participate are $15 for the one-mile run or $45 for the run or either bike ride. The biathlon costs $45 for individuals and $65 for teams.
