Catherine was born July 23, 1933 in Hanover, N.H., the daughter of Joseph L. and I. Mae (Frary) Rob-erts. She grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1951. Shortly after graduating she went to work at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in the accounts payable office. Catherine left the hospital and went to work for Black & Plant Attorneys at law. Catherine later found a home at Dartmouth College where she worked for over 37 years before retiring.
Catherine enjoyed spending time in the garden, reading, knitting, fleamarketing, and soaking up the summer sun anywhere, especially on the beach. She enjoyed collecting pink depression glass, but her true passion was her family and spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by two grandchildren, Richard McEwan and Kellie McEwan.
Catherine is survived by five children, Jan L. Willey, Gregory J. McEwan and wife, Cindy, all of White River Junction, D. Scott McEwan and wife, Sonia Bruce of Wilder, Tammie Lee Henderson and husband Timothy of Hartford, Thomas C. McEwan and wife Janice of Lebanon, N.H.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Ann Pippin of White River Junction.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016, at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction at 11 a.m.
