Hanover — The Hanover Fire Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a small fire in a boy’s bathroom at Hanover High School this morning.

No one was injured, and school is back in session.

Hanover Fire Chief Martin Martin McMillan said his department was called in around 10 a.m. for a report of smoke in the third-floor bathroom. A teacher extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher and the building was evacuated, McMillian said.

“Something happened” to a paper towel dispenser, McMillian said, declining to discuss details because the incident remains under investigation.
