South Strafford, Vt. – Lloyd E. Gierke, 73, of North Stratford, died at his residence on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.
He was born in Manhattan, N.Y., on July 10, 1944.
For many years, Lloyd worked as a logger and a log scaler. He was employed by Washburn Lumber for several years in North Stratford. A very private person, Lloyd was a true earthly soul and a conservationist. He loved the land and the wildlife of the woods. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Elks Club, both in Windsor, Vt.
There are no public calling hours or services. A private burial will take place in a special place close to Lloyd’s heart at a later date and with his very close circle of friends.
