Hanover competes in distance festival

Hanover’s Megan Faris finished second in the 5,000-meter race at the New Hampshire Distance Festival on Friday at Souhegan High School in Amherst. Aria Deeb of Hanover was third in the mile, and Grace Stewart finished seventh in the 5,000 meters. For the boys, Hanover’s Dylan Faris was eighth in the one mile, and Ben Groves was sixth in the 5,000 meters. Mascoma’s best finish was Carl Russell, who was 17^th in the 5,000 meters. Athletes from 36 high schools competed.
