Trump is destroying belief in American Dream
For generations, most of us shared a belief in the American Dream – the promise that if you work hard and play by the rules, you can get ahead. But Donald Trump is destroying belief in that dream.
Families know how much their grocery, utility, and gas bills have gone up, and how unaffordable rent or the mortgage is getting, and that vacations they took as kids are now impossible. Trump is making it much harder for people just to get by. During the government shutdown, he willingly used the hunger of Americans — including children and seniors — as a bargaining chip. It was cruel and wrong. His One Big Ugly Bill is kicking 17 million Americans off their health care and, according to JAMA Health Forum, threatens to close 338 rural hospital nationwide. His tariffs are jacking up prices across the board — for no reason. All of that moves the American Dream even further out of reach.
The first step in restoring the American Dream is preventing Donald Trump from damaging it any further. That means depriving him of GOP majorities in the House and Senate in 2026, and voting him out of office in 2028. We can do that!
