Edwin Hill

North Hartland , VT – Edwin Hill, 58, of North Hartland, Vermont, “Eddie Hill from Enfield” passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2026. Born on September 30, 1967 in Lebanon, NH, he was the son of Edwin Earl Hill and Cheryl Francine (Dickinson) Hill. Eddie was raised by his great-grandparents on May Street in Enfield, NH where he treasured his time with his idol, his great-grandfather, Warren Butman.

Eddie spent much of his youth at the Enfield Roller Skating Rink where he enjoyed many nights skating with friends and other rolling skating enthusiasts. A graduate of Mascoma Valley Regional High School (Class of 1986), Eddie was also proud of his time at the Hartford Area Career & Technology Center where he studied Auto Body, Collision & Repair.

In 1989 he and his then wife, Teresa, were blessed with their son, Ryan Hill. Eddie and Ryan shared many interests including motorcycles, turning a wrench, good music and numerous friends.

Eddie was particularly enamored with Harley Davidson motorcycles where his deep passion included working part time at Twin State Harley Davidson as a PDI Technician and delivering motorcycles. Without question, Eddie was a Harley guy; enjoying Bike Week and numerous motorcycle events. Throughout the years, Eddie owned approximately 8 Harleys, loving and enjoying each ride.

At the time of his death, Eddie was employed at Dartmouth College in Campus Services, where he had clocked more than 30 years. He was well known and loved across campus particularly for his extensive knowledge of its buildings, notable figures and its history.

Throughout his life, Eddie stayed local to the Valley; he was known by many and had numerous friends on both sides of the river. His charismatic personality shined brightly. Always wearing a smile, particularly when speaking of his son, Ryan, and grandson, Layne.

Eddie lived in North Hartland for over 20 years, tinkering on his Harleys in his bike shop and enjoying the company of anyone that stopped by. He was very patriotic with a deep respect for military service members past and present, often thanking them for their service with a vigorous handshake.

Eddie is survived by his mother, Cheryl F. Henry, Royal Henry (whom he called Dad), his son Ryan Hill (Nicole), his Aunt Fonda Campbell, his half brother David Prime, Jr., his grandson, Layne Hill, and his 4 legged buddy, Ozzy. Additionally, he is survived by his companion in Claremont, where he was living at the time of his passing.

A celebration of life will be announced and held later this summer where we will celebrate his love of, motorcycles, friends, cars, barbecue, and an array of entertainment.

As many people know; Eddie loved live music, and of course, an ice cold Bud Light.
