Support the Health Closet
The Jan. 28 article gave a lot of good information about the Health Closet and its need for volunteers. Messrs. Bayliss and Armstrong have spent years doing this. At one point they had a storage unit in Canaan and outgrew it. Now they need a new home and more volunteers.
When I had a joint replaced, they brought and set up a hospital bed along with a tray table; when I no longer needed it, they came and got it. They continually replace the canes I lose. No charge! At all! Ever! No questions — you need it, they bring it.
They depend on donations. The Lions Health Closet has any durable medical equipment you can imagine from canes and crutches to very sophisticated electric wheelchairs and it’s all free to anyone who asks. They repair and maintain the equipment that comes in. I don’t know of anyplace else where such exists. It is an incredible asset to the Upper Valley community and it deserves everyone’s support and help!!!
