Venice, FL – April 19, 1955 – October 7, 2025
Joanne was born in Claremont, New Hampshire. She graduated from Stevens High School and from New Hampshire Technical College (with a degree in massage therapy), and she completed extensive coursework at both Boston University and Castleton State College. Joanne spent her career supporting the medical community and her local communities at Planned Parenthood, at Dartmouth Hitchcock, and as a massage therapist. In 2008, Joanne moved to Venice, Florida to be close to and help support her parents. While in Florida, she continued her career in medical-related fields, working for local doctors and as an insurance verification specialist. Joanne is survived by her brothers Stephen (Linda) Borofsky of Bedford, NH, Clifford (Suzie) Borofsky of Cypress, TX, David (Mady) Borofsky of Sedona, AZ and by her sister Karen Borofsky of Framingham, MA. She is also survived by two nieces, Niki Borofsky of Paris, France, and Parker Borofsky of Townsend, TN. Joanne had a gentle, thoughtful, caring way about her and was known for her quiet humor. She was predeceased by her parents, Martin & Marion (Criden) Borofsky. A private memorial and celebration of life will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Israel in Joanne's memory.
