Rowing stands out at Head of the Charles Regatta

The Big Greenโ€™s menโ€™s heavyweight rowing team finished seventh overall in the championship eights at the world-renowned event, which took place in Cambridge, Mass., over the weekend. They also had strong finishes of first in the club eights and second in the club fours. 

The menโ€™s lightweight rowing team also competed, finishing fifth in the eights and ninth in the fours. Womenโ€™s rowing also showcased its skills, picking up finishes of second in the club eights to secure a silver medal and 10th in the championship eights. 

Altogether, the Big Green combined to place second in the MacMahon Cup.

Zalc repeats as Ivy League honoree 

Just a week after earning Ivy League Special Teams Player of the week honors for his heroics against Yale, junior kicker Owen Zalc won the award for the second straight week. He hit three of four field goals and three extra points in the 30-13 win over Fordham. 

Womenโ€™s soccer splits its last two

The Big Green came into Saturdayโ€™s matchup with visiting Princeton looking to extend its unbeaten streak that began after a loss to Colgate Sept. 11. However, Dartmouth came up short, dropping its first game in weeks to the Tigers, 2-0. 

But they were able to get back on track quickly following the loss to Princeton and went on the road to UAlbany to pick up a 3-0 win on Tuesday. Emmanuella Frimpomaa, Lykke Ihrfelt and Stephanie Lathrop each notched a goal, while Lathrop, Audrey Marin and Abigail Reger had assists. 

Dartmouth is now 7-3-4 overall and 2-1-2 in conference play.

Menโ€™s soccer also splits its latest matchups 

The Big Green picked up their second win in a row on Saturday when they traveled to New Haven, Conn., and defeated the Yale Bulldogs 1-0. Dartmouthโ€™s goal came from an unlikely source, a ball sent in off a corner from Will Lulka, which hit a Yale player and went in the net in the 73rd minute. 

However, Dartmouth was unable to extend its win streak to three, falling 2-0 on the road against UMass on Tuesday.

The Big Green are now 3-5-3 overall and 2-2 in the Ivy League. 

Cross country earns top-20 finishes at Princeton Fall Classic

The womenโ€™s team had the best placement for the Big Green at Fridayโ€™s meet, finishing 17th. Katherine Strong paced the women, finishing 50th (21:03.8). The men placed 20th and were led by Ashton Bange, who finished 69th (24:14). 

Sailing competes in three regattas 

In one of the three events the Big Green competed in over the weekend, they finished second at the Yale Womenโ€™s Interconference regatta. Dartmouth also finished eighth at the Open Atlantic Coast Championship, hosted by Navy, and 11th at Northeasternโ€™s Oberg Trophy.

Field hockey snaps losing streak

Dartmouth field hockey halted its eight-game losing streak last Tuesday when it hosted Holy Cross and claimed a 4-0 win. Lucia Campano scored twice in the matchup, while Olivia Galiotos and Ella Bowman added goals. 

However, after the win, the Big Green have stumbled, losing two straight road games, 3-1 against Yale on Friday and 4-0 to Vermont on Sunday. 

The Big Green are now 3-10 overall and remain winless in the Ivy League at 0-5. 

Womenโ€™s hockey opens the season with two losses

Dartmouth began its 2025 campaign on the road Friday against Holy Cross and came up just short, 3-2. The Big Green then followed that up with another loss to the Crusaders, 2-0, on Saturday. Kenzington Lehman and Cally Dixon lit the lamp for the Big Green during the season opener. 

Volleyball hits two-game skid 

The Big Green were beaten in straight sets on the road by their last two opponents. They fell to Yale 25-14, 25-13, 25-21 on Friday and Brown 25-16, 25-13, 25-11 on Saturday. 

Dartmouth is now 5-12 overall and 2-5 in the Ivy League. 

Womenโ€™s rugby suffers second loss of the season 

Coming into Saturdayโ€™s road matchup against Lindenwood, the Big Green had dropped just one game, last month against rival Harvard, 36-33. However, Lindenwood was able to beat Dartmouth 12-5 this weekend. Marley Larkin had Dartmouthโ€™s lone try. 

The Big Green are now 4-2 and 3-2 in conference play. 

Menโ€™s golf wraps fall season

Last Tuesday, the Big Green finished its fall season, placing 13th at the Elon Phoenix Invitational in North Carolina. Luke Harper led the Big Green (-8), which was good for a tie for fifth overall.
