Philadelphia — Kurt Rawlings connected with Christopher Williams-Lopez for a 4-yard touchdown with 4:11 remaining in the game and Yale rallied for a 24-19 victory over Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Rawlings threw for 199 yards and two scores for the Bulldogs (5-1, 2-1 Ivy League), who won at Penn (2-4, 0-3) for the first time since 2007. Yale’s Zane Dudek carried 12 times for 103 yards and a score.

The Quakers, who trailed 18-10 at the half, recovered a pair of fumbles in the fourth quarter to take a 19-18 lead. The first turnover led to Jack Soslow’s 44-yard field goal and the second resulted in a 2-yard TD run by Tre Solomon. But Rawlings led the Bulldogs on an 11-play, 80-yard drive for the winning score.

Cornell 34, Brown 7

Ithaca, n.y. — Harold Coles ran for two touchdowns and the Cornell defense smothered Brown to end a nine-game skid in their Ivy League series.

Coles was one of four players to run for at least 40 yards as Cornell (2-4, 2-1 Ivy League) piled up 276 yards on the ground. Coles had 65 yards on just six carries with touchdown runs of 3 and 42 yards. Jack Gellatly had 74 yards on seven carries, Chris Walker added 66 yards on 16 attempts, and both scored on 3-yard runs.

Dalton Banks completed 19 of 26 passes for 228 yards to help Cornell gain 504 total yards.

Middlebury 43, Bates 14

Lewiston, Maine — The Panthers (5-1) scored the first 27 points of their latest NESCAC victory to easily handle Bates.

Jared Lebowitz found Maxim Bochman on a 1-yard touchdown pass on Middlebury’s first drive, and it was all downhill from there. Lebowitz hit on 12 of 18 passes for 166 yards and two TDs.

Castleton 17, Dean 14

Castleton, Vt. — Moe Harris dashed 44 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 2:34 to play as the Spartans (3-3 overall) outlasted Dean (3-3) at Spartan Stadium.

Gene Baisden returned a blocked Castleton punt 55 yards for a TD that pushed Dean ahead, 14-10, with 7:38 left. The Spartans got two chances to win and made the most fo the second, going 58 yards in two plays capped by Harris’ score.

Plymouth St. 40Mass. Maritime 14

Buzzards Bay, Mass. — The Panthers (7-1) amassed a pair of 20-point quarters to outdistance the Mariners.

Colin Leddy scored on a 45-yard touchdown pass from Zack Edwards, who added a 1-yard scoring run to a 25-year blocked punt return by Brad Rhoades for a 20-0 second-quarter lead. The Panthers added 20 more points in the final period on a pair of short runs and a 56-yard Prince Gbaley interception return.

Saint Anselm 35, Pace 34

Pleasantville, n.y. — The Hawks (1-6) erased a 14-point first-half deficit and rallied past the Setters for their first victory of the season.

Quarterback Eric Fairweather led the way for Saint Anselm, carrying the football 27 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns. He also completed 14 of 22 passes, including an 11-yard TD toss to Kyle Hill with 6½ minutes left that ultimately served as the winning points.

UNH 40, Towson 17

Durham, n.h. — Trevor Knight threw for four touchdowns as New Hampshire rolled over Towson.

Knight was 19-for-30 for 197 yards passing for the Wildcats (5-2, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association). DeUnte Chatman ran for 187 yards and two scores and Brandon Gallagher added 104 rushing yards. Overall, New Hampshire outgained Towson, 508-279.

Chatman ran for a 26-yard score in the first quarter and Knight followed with four unanswered touchdown passes in the second — one each to Kieran Presley and Neil O’Connor and two to Nick Lorden — for a 33-3 halftime lead.

BC 41, Virginia 10

Charlottesville, Va.(Anthony Brown threw three touchdown passes and Boston College’s defense stifled Virginia.

The Eagles (4-4, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) won their second straight road game, and did it behind Brown, who completed 19 of 24 passes for 275 yards, and a defense that limited Virginia to 247. The Eagles, by contrast, had 275 through the air and 237 on the ground.

Virginia (5-2, 2-1) came up well short in its bid for a fifth straight victory and bowl eligibility for the first time since 2011.

UConn 20, Tulsa 14

East Hartford, Conn. — Bryant Shirreffs went 23-of-29 for 372 yards passing and one touchdown, and Connecticut scored the first 20 points of a victory over Tulsa.

Tulsa’s final drive started at its 12 with 51 seconds left and no timeouts. The Golden Hurricane went seven plays but UConn’s Junior Joseph broke up a pass in the end zone with no time left to seal it.

UConn’s defense had a season-high six sacks and one interception.
