Five Sullivan County candidates make great team, united voice
How do you want to feel on Nov. 4, 2026? If you are not happy with the way things are, then now is the time to restore our legislative process to where it needs to be. Candidates have been challenged to run and learn about what voters want and voters are now being challenged to learn about the Democratic candidates and show up and vote. Concord has long neglected Sullivan County and many of the current Representatives have ignored our voice. Fabrication has distorted the truth. Charlestown, Unity and Newport, District 3, has three State Representatives who bring a unified vision and skill sets to address the issues impacting us all.
Jeff Kessler is active in local politics, served on the Newport School Board and Zoning Board, and has been on the Selectboard since 2007. He has brought his expertise to Budget and Planning Committees to support his community.
Lisa Debartolomao is hands-on, gets it done and speaks her mind. She has empathy and understanding of what seniors and young families are going through.
Timothy Fitzpatrick, a political science major at Keene State College on the dean’s list, brings an energetic voice for young voters and working-class families.
To complete this strong democratic team for Sullivan County, Dr. Larry Schissel, running for New Hampshire state representative for Floterial District 7, which serves Charlestown, Newport, Unity, Cornish and Plainfield brings a comprehensive health care background to the mix and David Trumble, running for state senator for District 8, which is made up of 20 towns, including Charlestown, Newport and Unity, and is also focused on strengthening quality education that is funded adequately according to the New Hampshire Constitution.
Feel proud when you cast your vote on Nov. 3, knowing that this team will work for us. It is up to voters to tell the candidates what they expect by talking, listening, supporting them and being part of the process to make a difference in all of our lives. Voters are not just voting for candidates, but for a new Day One and what the next two years and beyond will be.
