LEBANON โ€” Route 4 closed at the 1-89 Exit 17 northbound off-ramp after a log truck rolled over on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

A log truck driver reported to police that a mechanical failure prevented him from stopping before turning onto Route 4 eastbound, Lebanon Police Chief Phillip Roberts said at the scene.

The truck rolled over and logs from the truck subsequently struck a SUV travelling east on Route 4.

The driver of the SUV, who was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for evaluation, is pregnant with twins, the woman’s mother said at the scene.

Route 4 closed at about 2 p.m. and opened to one lane at 3:30 p.m., according to the city’s LebAlert system.

New Hampshire State Police is investigating the incident.
