Vote Karishma!
I am deeply concerned about how both the Democratic and Republican parties treat the primary election process.
In New Hampshire’s U.S. Senate race, the Democratic Party establishment is putting its thumb on the scale in favor of Rep. Chris Pappas. Pappas is a four-term congressman who cannot defend the money he has taken from foreign lobbies and how he has voted. Pappas has accepted nearly $3 million from pro-Israel lobbies and has voted for billions of our hard-earned tax dollars for weapons to Israel to bomb and kill thousands of people in Palestine and Lebanon.
Despite Pappas’ terrible record, Democratic leaders like Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Jeanne Shaheen are trying to ensure Pappas wins the September primary. In my view, party leaders and major donors support Pappas because he will continue to serve them and not the people of New Hampshire.
As a New Hampshire voter, I want free and fair primary elections where voters choose the nominee, and not party insiders or wealthy donors. That is why I am supporting Karishma Manzur for U.S. Senate.
Manzur does not accept money from corporate PACs, special interests, or AIPAC. She supports ending U.S. military funding for Israel, stopping the endless wars, and investing our taxpayer dollars in our communities.
She has spent years working in the nonprofit sector on issues affecting working families, including livable wages, affordable housing, universal childcare, and healthcare. I also support her call for billionaires and large corporations to pay their fair share of taxes so that working families are not carrying the burden.
I support Karishma Manzur because she answers to the people. That is why the New Hampshire Democratic establishment and its major donors are working against her campaign and the ideas she represents.
I believe elected officials should work for the people, not wealthy donors. That is why I will vote for Karishma Manzur in the September 8 Democratic primary election.
