Claremont, NH – Lawrence “Larry” Trussell, 78, of Claremont, passed away on May 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of family after a hard-fought battle with dementia that showed the strength, determination, and heart everyone knew him for. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he is finally at peace.
Larry was a man who could fix just about anything, but his true gift was the way he impacted the people around him. He was a devoted friend, father, grandfather, mentor, and role model whose wisdom and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He had a deep love for hot rods, classic cars, and classic rock. Some of the best memories shared with Larry were spent cruising back roads, attending car shows, turning wrenches in the garage, and talking cars for hours. His passion for engines and horsepower was only matched by the love he had for his family and friends.
Larry believed in hard, honest work, perseverance, and never backing down when life became difficult. He taught those around him how to stay strong and keep moving forward no matter the circumstances.
May the legacy of Larry live on forever in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
Larry leaves behind his son, John; daughter, Lisa; grandson, Travis and his wife, Katherine; and his three great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Addison, and Aspynn, along with many dear friends and loved ones whose lives he touched throughout the years.
Larry is now reunited with his loving wife, Nancy, who passed away in 2019, as well as his granddaughter, Crystal, and her boyfriend, William.
Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will continue to ride alongside us all.
In accordance with Larry’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or celebration of life. A private graveside service will be held for immediate family only.
Rest easy, Larry. From our hearts to yours, we’ll see you on the other side.
