Lebanon High students ranked in French contest
Twenty-two Lebanon High School students who study French earned national ranks in the 91st National French Contest โ Le Grand Concours โ competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, according to a Lebanon School District news release. They were judged on “their interpretive reading and listening comprehension skills.”
The following students earned ranks: Henry Dansby, Rei Huston, John Polk, Adelie Premore, Bennett Russell, Sam Smith, Wilhelm Wanders, Valentina Pinto Miranda, Cassidy Saxon, Maeve Finnegan, Olivia Hanna, Shaya Kiridena, Jonah Trussell, Nat LeBlanc, Anya Ford, Eden Aldrich, Finn Danaher, Charlie Ferland, Jo Griffin, Ava Polk, Anji Sharma and Emily Groves.
Hanover High student wins National Merit Scholarship
Hanover High School student Lik Jin Christopher James Chor, who is planning on studying engineering at a post-secondary institution, was awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship.

Eriq Bowie-Reimers, of Lyme, earned a bachelor’s degree in politics, magna cum laude, from SUNY Potsdam, in Potsdam, N.Y., this spring.
Molly Reed, of Sunapee, earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Berry College in Rome, Ga., this spring.
Adam Dunn Rose, of New London, earned a bachelor’s degree in health promotion from the University of Georgia in Athens this spring.
Garrett Prince, of Lyme, earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., this spring.
Brady Elliott, of Charlestown, earned a degree in business management from Regis College in Boston this spring.
Vera Rivard, of Springfield, N.H., earned a degree in biology from Regis College in Boston this spring.
Lebanon gets music education award for third year in a row
The Lebanon School District has earned Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Award from The NAMM Foundation, a national organization, for the third year in a row, according to a Lebanon School District news release. Lebanon was one of 1,000 school districts nationwide โ and the only one in the Twin States โ to receive the award.
Lebanon submitted an application for the award and was evaluated on different criteria including funding, instruction, student participation and music facilities, according to the release.
โIn Lebanon, we are lucky to be able to provide students with opportunities to develop their musical skills and participate in a variety of satisfying musical experiences that increase their skill level as well as their confidence,โ Mount Lebanon Elementary Music Teacher Christine Greenough, who was named New Hampshireโs 2025 Music Educator of the Year, said in the release.
