Stop the destruction now
I call on all American politicians to stop immediately Trump’s destruction of the America we know and love. As an American living in Switzerland, I have watched Europe lose all respect for and trust in our country as a model democracy.
At first I experienced expressions of puzzlement, then of disbelief, now of deep disappointment, even scorn. European friends say America has become laughable, while also extremely dangerous in its disrespect for international laws and norms.
While here in Vermont, I will gladly join the weekly demonstrations to stress the urgency of resistance to the ongoing devastation of my country.
