Nuclear power’s PR blitz
Recent articles and decrees promoting nuclear energy in New Hampshire make no sense unless if you see them as a public relations rebranding campaign for companies hoping for windfall profits. The so called ‘small nuclear reactors’ are less efficient/ more costly and produce more nuclear waste per kilowatt.
Furthermore this all ignores the fact that we have no way of dealing with the nuclear waste, past current or future. It stays in state and is encased in concrete, adding to the previous waste currently in deteriorating concrete blocks.
Gov. Ayotte is a smart person, surely she is aware of the situation. Why is she going along with this?
