Paul Arthur Wilson

Windsor, VT – Paul Arthur Wilson, 67, of Windsor, Vermont, died unexpectedly on January 16, 2026, while visiting his family’s camp in Otis, Maine. He was born on July 19, 1958, in Providence, RI, to Shirley Mason (Pond) and John Peabody Wilson.

Paul graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1976. He was a star on the cross-country running, X-C and downhill ski teams. He loved hiking in the White Mountains and whitewater canoeing.

Paul completed a BA at UNH in 1983. After graduation he taught woodworking at the Dartmouth College Student Workshop. In 1992, he joined Wilson Woodworking in Windsor with his brother Michael. In his forty years as a woodworker, he made thousands of pieces of custom cabinetry and fine furniture. Paul was an exceptional craftsman and left his clients and family a legacy of cherished heirloom works.

Paul married Deborah Dow of Hartland, VT, in 1999. They met on the golf course and shared their love of the sport. Paul had a sense of adventure and led his family on trips to Maine, Canada, Mexico and across the United States. He had a memory for baseball statistics and played in duplicate bridge tournaments.

Paul is survived by his former wife Deborah of Windsor, VT: their three children: Elizabeth, Max and Hollis Wilson; his siblings, Peter Wilson of Cambridge, MA, Michael Wilson, of Springfield, VT, and Jenni Seri of Providence RI; and a large extended family.
