LEBANON — Dr. Apara Davé will be Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital’s next chief medical officer.

Davé, who is currently associate chief medical officer for Core Physicians, a group medical practice affiliated with Exeter (N.H.) Hospital, will take over the role from Dr. Michael Lynch beginning in June.
Lynch is also the Lebanon-based hospital’s president and CEO, according to a Wednesday news release from Dartmouth Health. Lynch has served as chief medical officer since 2019 and kept that role when he was appointed CEO and president last September.
“Dr. Davé brings tremendous experience and expertise to this role, and I am confident she will provide exceptional leadership as we continue our mission of improving the health and well-being of our community through our commitment to the highest standards of patient care,” Lynch said in the release.
Davé — who is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease — earned her medical degree through a joint program at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine and the Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, R.I., the release said. She did a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., followed by an infectious disease fellowship at Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
