Plainfield , NH – David Harper, 71, of Plainfield, NH, passed away on March 19, 2026. Born on June 12, 1954, David was a dedicated carpenter known for his hard work and ability to build anything. He began his career as a Steeplejack and a Sawyer before founding his own carpentry business, where he took immense pride in his craft. He had been described by his friends as funny, a legend and strong-willed. He brought laughter to those around him with his sarcasm and his direct point of view.
David was a loving father and is survived by his daughter, Tracy Rousseau; son-in-law, Steve Rousseau; granddaughters, Skyler and Megan Rousseau; and his significant other, Vicky Sousa. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Harper and mother Joyce Tibbits.
His legacy will live on in the work of the homes he worked in and the memories he created with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed.
