CLAREMONT — A 47-year-old Claremont woman is facing charges of burglary and falsifying physical evidence after a theft from a mini-mart early Thursday morning.
Around 4 a.m., Claremont Police responded to a reported commercial burglary alarm set off at Birney’s Mini Mart, located at 58 Washington St., according to a news release from Claremont Police.
Upon arrival, officers determined that someone made entry into the building and that a small amount of cash was missing from the register, the release said.
Based on an investigation that involved canvassing the area, reviewing surveillance footage and deploying Claremont Police K-9s, police recovered property relating to the incident and apprehended a suspect.
Police said the woman was scheduled for a Thursday afternoon arraignment in the Claremont District Court, the release said.
