LYME โ€” During Saturday’s floor meeting, voters rejected an article proposing to raise $100,000 to continue to remove materials from a property located at 116 Dorchester Road.

The issue failed via secret ballot vote, 64-86.

In another secret ballot vote, Lyme voters approved, 94-61, a measure to authorize the Conservation Commission to convey a conservation easement on the 425-acre town forest to a qualifying organization.

By voice, voters approved an ordinance defining and regulating conflicts of interest for local officers, committee members and employees.

They also approved a town operating budget of $3.16 million, up from $3 million last year.

Of Lyme’s 1,454 registered voters, 164 checked in on Saturday.

At the polls last week, voters approved a zoning amendment to expand housing in certain districts in town, as well as a zoning change to allow buried propane tanks in the Shoreland Conservation District.

They elected Michael Hinsley to the Selectboard and Leigh Prince and Kristin Roth to the School Board.

Earlier this month, voters approved a $9.86 million school budget.
