NEW LONDON — Voters in the Kearsarge Regional School District comfortably approved a $56.6 million budget and a new contract with the district’s para-educators on Tuesday.
The budget won approval by a vote of 1,592-710. The new contract with PEAK, Para-Educators at Kearsarge, will cost $166,000 in the first year and was approved 1,939-658.
Voters also approved adding $200,000 to the district’s special education reserve and $500,000 to the school building maintenance expendable trust.
They also approved adding $100,000 to capital reserves for roof repair. The district also gave voters the option to add $2 million to the roof fund, or to add nothing, and they chose the middle course.
Four people were elected to the Kearsarge School Board in uncontested elections: Matt Ensenwine, of Warner, N.H.; Nancy Glynn, of Sutton, N.H.; Eric Gregoire, of Bradford, N.H.; and David Keith, of New London.
Voters also selected four members of the district’s municipal budget committee: Richard G. Anderson, of New London; James V. Bibbo III, of Bradford, N.H.; Rebecca Diane Harned, of Sutton, N.H.; and Debra Reznicek, of Warner, N.H.
