The Big Green visited Navy over the weekend for a four-game series and was able to muster one win. 

That win came in their first matchup on Friday, where Dartmouth picked up a 3-1 win. Taer Rodriguez and Axel Riess both doubled and had an RBI in the matchup for the Big Green. Trey Sejnoha, who pitched 3 โ…” innings in relief, had five strikeouts and got the win, while Mac Burke secured the save.

Following Fridayโ€™s win, the Big Green dropped Saturdayโ€™s doubleheader, losing in the first game 8-7 in seven innings, and the next 11-3. Dartmouth came close to splitting the series with Navy but fell in Sundayโ€™s series finale, 4-3 in 10 innings. 

The Big Green are now 3-7 overall and will travel to Bryant on March 18.

Skiing national championship lineup announced 

The following athletes will be competing for Dartmouth at the NCAA Championships, which begin on Wednesday in Utah. 

Carly Elsinger, Emma Resnick, and Zoe Zimmermann will compete in womenโ€™s alpine, while Calum Langmuir, Heming Sola, and Oscar Zimmer will do so for the men. 

In the Nordic discipline, Ava Thurston, Amelia Tucker, and Evie Walton are on the womenโ€™s team, while Cooper Camp, Jack Lange, and John Steel Hagenbuch make up the menโ€™s team.

Womenโ€™s golf athlete earns Golfer of the Month honors 

Olivia Cong was named the Ivy Leagueโ€™s Golfer of the Month for her performance in February. Cong was a key factor in the Big Greenโ€™s tournament win last month at the Space Coast Classic in Melbourne, Fla. Individually, she finished with a -6, which was tied for first overall.

Menโ€™s squash competes at CSA National Championships

In the first round of the championships that began last Thursday in Philadelphia, the Big Green fell to Ivy rival Princeton, 6-3. Callan Venkatesan, Brandon Wang, and Warren Klein had the wins for Dartmouth.ย 

It was not all bad, though, as the Big Green picked up wins in the consolation round against Williams and Cornell, 9-0 and 7-2, respectively. 

Womenโ€™s squash competes at CSA National Championships

The Big Green women also fell in the first round of the championships, which also began last Thursday in Philadelphia. Dartmouth was blanked by Virginia, 9-0.ย 

Dartmouth had one win in consolation play against Amherst, 6-3. Maria Clara Ramรญrez, Xiang Xiang Liu, Nathalie Taylor, Kriti Muthu, Zayna Usman, and Uma Patnaik had the wins for the Big Green. 

Menโ€™s basketball drops season finale 

The Big Green ended the regular season with a loss at home on Saturday to Cornell, 111-90. Jayden Williams and Cameron McNamee led Dartmouth on offense, each dropping 21 points. 

Brandon Mitchell-Day, who had 18 points, and Nikola Abusara, who had 12 points, were the other Dartmouth players to score in double figures. 

The Big Green finished the regular season 11-16 overall and 5-9 in conference play. 

Womenโ€™s basketball also drops season finale 

Dartmouth hit the road to battle Cornell on Saturday in its final regular season game and fell, 78-53. Alexandra Eldredge, who led the Big Green with 12 points, and Zeynep Ozel, who scored 11, were the only Dartmouth players to score in double figures. 

The Big Green finished with an overall record of 10-17 and a conference record of 1-13.

Womenโ€™s lacrosse drops first game of the season

No. 25-ranked Penn traveled to Hanover on Saturday to battle the Big Green and handed them their first loss of the season, 14-10. 

Madeline Egan had three goals for Dartmouth, while Fiona O’Keeffe had two. Katie Barr, Samantha Bennett, Mia Puccio, Charlotte Myers, and Lauren Riley each had one goal for the Big Green. 

Dartmouth is now 5-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. It hosts UMass on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. 

Menโ€™s lacrosse drops road matchup to Utah 

The Big Green battled the Utes on the road on Saturday and were defeated, 17-10. Tyler Juhlin had three goals for Dartmouth, while Stu Gates and Alex Jessey each added two of their own. Thomas Vandenberg, Gordie Leary, and Emmett Paradine also added one goal each. 

The Big Green are now 3-2 overall and visit Fairfield on Tuesday at 7 p.m. 

Equestrian ends regular season with a loss 

Dartmouth visited Centenary on Sunday to wrap up the regular season and fell, 7-3. Cassidy Exner in fences, and Grace Russo and Camilla Jerng in flats got the Big Greenโ€™s points. 

Next up is the ECAC Single Discipline Championship, scheduled for March 20 and 21 in Charleston, S.C.

New menโ€™s soccer staffer added 

Liam Abdalla, who most recently coached at Penn, is joining the staff as an assistant for the new Big Green menโ€™s soccer coach, Connor Klekota. A news release from the college announcing the move notes that Abdallaโ€™s work will focus on goalkeeping.

Menโ€™s diving athlete headed to NCAA National Championship 

McCoy Lyman finished with a 378.45 in the 3-meter dive at the ongoing NCAA Diving Zones in Annapolis, Md. He ended up finishing fourth with an overall score of 713.30, earning him a bid to the NCAA National Championship scheduled for March 18 to 21 in Atlanta.
