QUECHEE โ People will now be able to observe a nesting pair of bald eagles in Quechee in real time after the the Vermont Institute of Natural Science launched a live stream on Wednesday.
The two live stream cameras โ which focus on a pair named Windsor and Dewey โ can be viewed via VINS website at vinsweb.org/exhibits-activities/wild-eagles.
This is the second year the pair have chosen to build a nest on the nonprofit organization’s property. After they successfully raised an eaglet last summer, staff at the nonprofit organization decided to set up cameras to see if they would return to their nest. The duo returned on Valentine’s Day and in mid-February. Windsor and Dewey are currently working on building up their nest.
“Itโs incredible to witness a bonded pair of Bald Eagles living their full, wild lives on and around the nest,โ VINS Executive Director Alden Smith said in a Wednesday news release. โWeโre hopeful that Windsor will lay a clutch of eggs by early April.”
