Results: Newbury voters give Selectboard authority to appoint constables

NEWBURY, Vt. — Voters gave the Selectboard permission to appoint the town’s first constable and a second constable if needed in ballot voting Tuesday, 137 to 20.

Voters also decided several uncontested races, including electing Andrew Lee and Shauna Prime to the Selectboard.

Voters approved a land swap of conservation land and all other articles in Tuesday’s floor meeting.
