Articles of note: Two petitioned warrant articles ask voters whether they support adopting SB 2 to allow ballot voting on all town issues and, if yes, to establish a budget committee. An article on the school warrant would designate Plainfield School as an open enrollment school and bar residents within the district from attending other open enrollment schools.

Contested races: There are no contested races this year.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed school budget is $8.76 million, up slightly from the $8.74 million budget approved last year. The proposed town budget is $3.26 million, up from a $3.13 million budget last year.

When, where and how to vote: Voting on officers will be by ballot on Tuesday, March 10 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Plainfield School gymnasium, 92 Bonner Road in Meriden. The School District meeting will be held on Saturday March 14 at 9 a.m. in the school gym. Town Meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on the same day and in the same place.
